Plan in advance and then follow the plan; that’s what the discipline talent strives to do. My closest (and favorite) coworker had the Discipline strength and it was such a gift for me to be around in turbulent times. When a project scope changed or the business priorities shifted –a critical time when change could feel overwhelming or unnerving– my coworker would reach for her calendar and the project plan document to review and revise. In a very short period of time, a new plan was set and the direction forward was clear. More importantly, I was able to follow the organized, revised plan and continue to deliver business results.
